About Me
It is important that you choose a therapist who is right for you. Someone whom you feel you can connect with on an emotional level. I believe whole heartedly in the therapeutic counselling relationship, and can offer a warm, safe and confidential space in which you can explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns.
I am an experienced, fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor, based in Hertfordshire. As well as holding an Honours Degree in Counselling from Middlesex University, I am Lead Therapist and Program Manager at a major rehab centre. My work and experience at this centre, which specialises in treating addiction and behavioural disorders, enables me to offer not only traditional counselling, but also a wide range of practical skills and exercises that my clients can utilise in dealing with their own specific issues and everyday lives.
I believe that everyone can benefit from talking therapy, and I am able to work with most issues. I have also been a client in therapy myself, and as such understand how difficult it can be to take the first steps, but I’m here to help and guide you on this transformational journey.
I am warm, friendly and very approachable and will be pleased to answer any questions you may have. If you’d like to read more about my approach, there’s a short article here.
I am a registered member of the BACP and am fully insured. All counselling sessions are currently being delivered online, using either Zoom or FaceTime, and can be scheduled to suit you. I am offering limited, socially-distanced home visits in the Hertfordshire area for clients who are unable to use online technology.
